Eligibility

​

To become a member of the App State Fencing Team, you must be a current student or faculty member at Appalachian State University. There are no try-outs for the team. Everyone is welcome to join and compete!

 

All members must complete a Medical Information and Consent Form before their first practice. This is a requirement to join the team. See the Practice page for more details.

Dues (per semester)

• $30 for a non-competitive membership​​

• $80 for a competitive membership​

 

These fees allow the club to purchase necessities, such as equipment. Please note that competitive membership dues include all hotel and tournament expenses. We only ask that you chip in for gas and food. We are one of the least expensive Club Sports at Appalachian!

Equipment

​

Though you are welcome to bring your own equipment, the club will provide you with everything needed to practice. We also provide instruction if you are new to the sport!
